Electronics and Communications Engineering

Was always interested as a child, playing with crystal sets and project building, in my teens a got a placement at Contec Engineering working in robotically controlled developing equipment and building giant washing machines for cleaning circuit boards, from there I moved onto TV and Video Repair and then changed jobs, my hobby had become work!

Having turned my hobby into my job I found all the fun in building a project or the buzz of repairing something did not have the thrill it once held.

It was not until the possibility of combining my interest in computers that now overlaped, devices such as the Arduino and the Pi had come onto the market sparking a new interest.

Open-source hardware and software projects, a community of users, designing and building all sorts of single-board microcontroller projects, these little boards seem to have infinite uses.
